Summer Science School 2025

Summer Science School (SSS) is an international program for elementary school students organized by Petnica Science Center. The Summer Science School is a multidisciplinary seven-day program that introduces interested students to the basics of a research perspective on the world. SSS participants are directly engaged in theoretical, practical, and research activities in the fields of astronomy, biology, physics, electronics, chemistry, geology, history, archaeology, geography, mathematics, psychology, linguistics, computing, biomedicine, and other disciplines represented at Petnica. The program aims not to teach facts, practice tasks, or test knowledge, but to acquaint participants with the principles and basic methods of research as well as the scientific method in the broadest sense, and to encourage critical thinking and the development of a research spirit. Petnica International 2025

Petnica International is a science camp for high school students interested in science and research, which takes place at Petnica Science Center, Serbia. Petnica International has a variety of subjects to offer that give the opportunity to explore a range of topics and disciplines.

The program will be held from 15th to 24th of July at Petnica Science Center.

Petnica International science camp has an aim to enable students interested in science to practice scientific research by working on their own research projects under the guidance of Petnica’s associates and assistants. Students also have an opportunity to attend various lectures and laboratory exercises, experience fieldwork and get acquainted with scientific methodology and a wide spectrum of research techniques. Participants will attend daily lectures and classroom sessions in natural, technical and social sciences. In addition, each participant will be engaged in a project of his choosing from those offered in this years’ PI curriculum.
